Baking CIP @ Life Community Service Society

Hello guys! After the exams, a group of us headed down to Life Community Service Society to conduct a baking session with the kids there. We reached early to make sure that the ingredients such as flour, butter, sugar are being weighed beforehand, so that the kids will just need to mix them together!
In the meantime, some of us some of us decided to learn how to make origami for the kids.
After everyone is ready, we officially started our baking session! Firstly, the kids have to mix the ingredients together. After it is done, an egg is added into the pan to create the dough.
Before the dough is ready, we played some games with the kids!
The kids were very active and energised. Everyone looks like they are having a great time! :)
Finally, the dough is ready! Since Christmas is coming, we decided to make Ginger Bread Man shaped cookies!
Then the cookies are being baked in the oven for quite some time.
While waiting for the cookies to be baked, we played Musical Chair.
When the time is up, we took out the cookies that were fully baked, and started to prepare the icing for the cookies.
We prepared lots of colored icing for the kids to unleash their creativity!
We also brought sprinkles!
Some of the finished products! The kids also home the cookies that they made.
It was a very fun and meaningful experience for all of us, and we will be more than happy to do it again. :)
