Year 1 Update! Colloid Chem- Colloid Stability
Friday, November 25, 2011
Hello! We're back again!:D
For this week, we carried out an experiment for Colloid Chem which is to test the stability of 2 types of colloids, that is the Gelatin colloid and Hydrated Iron(III) oxide colloid~
Here's a picture of the gelatin colloid which hasn't been destabilised yet. Looks clear right?:)
Now, here's how a destabilised gelatin colloid looks like. It's looks turbid just by the addition of approximately 1mL of ethanol;)
Next, here's how hydrated iron(III) oxide colloid looks like when it hasn't been destabilised yet:)

MSTs are just around the corner~ How fast time flies! I am sure everyone's busy preparing for the MSTs:) Till we meet again next week!:D
