DPCS Bonding Day at ECP

Wednesday, June 29, 2016

Hey everybody!

We're finally back with a new post and this time, its about our DPCS Bonding Day held at East Coast Park on 22 July!

It was a pretty sunny day and we decided to meet at Paya Lebar MRT before heading down to ECP together. Quite a number of Year Ones and Year Twos joined us for this event, along with Mr Heng, which made us extremely pleased. Even though the Year Ones and Twos did not know each other well at first which made things a little awkward, we warmed up to each other quickly after some introductory games and competitive games.

First, we started off with some introductory games such as Concentration and Give Me Tempo. After several of us lost three rounds, we decided to have a forfeit which was to spell out "D-P-C-S" using our butts.

The next game we played was Spot the Drinker. Firstly, we split ourselves up into two teams. Everyone will get a cup of normal beverage, except for an unlucky person, who would receive a cup of spiked beverage. The aim of the game was for the opposing team to find the person with the spiked drink and for the drinking team to act like there's nothing wrong with whatever they're drinking! Some of the spiked drinks we prepared were salt + water and Coke + soy sauce.

The next activity was the No Thumb Challenge where participants attempt to complete some tasks with their thumbs taped up. The team that finishes all the tasks the fastest wins! The first task was to cut out a heart using a pair of scissors.

The next task was to wear a shirt and button at least 6 buttons.

And for the last task, we has to transfer 6 green beans from one cup into another cup using a pair of chopsticks.
After we were done with the games, we took a break and ordered dominos pizza for lunch! It was so delicious :D

After our lunch, we decided to play Murderer.
The last game for the day was to play dodgeball using water bombs. The team in the middle had to avoid the bombs while the team surrounding them threw the bombs at them. The team with the most amount of people who were dry at the end of the game won!

After all the activities ended successfully, we decided to call it a day and took some photos together! Here, we have our student chapter members having their fun shot.

And these are all the people who came down for the bonding day! Thanks again to everyone for attending this extremely fun-filled day!

Love,
 Carmen and Kexin
