[MARCH OITP 2013] Josai University
Wednesday, May 08, 2013
HEY GUYS HOW YALL DOING.
For my internship, I was sent to Josai University at Saitama Prefecture along with 3 other DACP kids (Joellene, Gary and Hongming) for 42 days.
This is us at Sensō-ji, Asakusa. That's Gary, Hongming, me and Joellene.

Okay I don't even know where to begin, JAPAN WAS SO AWESOME. We experienced so many things, made so many amazing friends and ate so much good food!
Each of us was given our own mini apartment (outside of the Uni), complete with bathroom, mini kitchen, fridge and washing machine. NOT BAD HUH. The University provided us with pots & pans, crockery and cultery, so we actually cooked to save cost.

This is Josai University.

It's
a pretty big Uni, but I won't spam you with all the pictures. We will
upload all the pictures at DPCS Facebook page soon for your viewing
pleasure!
Our project was to determine the skin permeation profile using PABA & alternative skin membrane Strat-M.

Kawagoe Preservation District. It's basically rows upon rows of olden days building selling the cutest stuff. Definitely one of my favourite places in Japan.

Akihabara, Tokyo. We came here 4 times -_-

SHINJUKU!!!!!Oh the SHOPPING.

(Clockwise) Me, Joellene, Abe-san, Okamura-san, Kanai-san, Hongming and Gary at Shinjuku McD's for dinner.

DISNEYSEA!!! Another one of my favourite places. I can live there I'm not even joking.

Really really REALLY huge dog at Ikebukuro, Tokyo. LOVE.

Hachiko statue at Shibuya, Tokyo.

Shibuya & Harajuku with the SP kids!! We all met up and went crazy shopping (well the girls did).

Tokyo Skytree! We were unlucky though, we couldn't see anything from above because there was too much fog. :(

Sensō-ji Shrine guys LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL/SERENE!! Another one of my favourite places in Japan.

Buffet to celebrate Yue-san's birthday! Great food and amazing company.
Anyway, we were really lucky to experience their Graduation Ceremony!! The men were all dressed up in formal attire (woot woot) and the ladies all wore kimonos AND THEY WERE SO BEAUTIFUL I COULD CRY.

They are Kanai-san and Yuina-san with their breathtaking kimonos.

LOOK AT THAT SEA OF KIMONOS. I wanted to purchase one but it cost around $500 lol....
At night we attended their graduation party for the Laboratory of Pharmaceutics & Cosmeceutics (the department we were attached to). It's something like prom night, but on a smaller scale.

And since we stayed there during the transition from winter to spring, we managed to see the sakura!! The laboratory members even arranged a 'hanami', which meant sakura-viewing. All of us rented kimonos and walked around to see sakuras. It was truly an awesome experience.
