CIP ~

HEY GUYS!!!
As you know, the day begin with a drizzle in the morning before the rain stopped. Although there was a slight change in plan due to the rain, the CIP held at Marine Terrace Breeze Community Centre (located on the east side) was a success!

Before we get started with our job, we gathered in the CC for further instructions to be given as shown in the image below.

Basically, our job for the day was to help out with the packing of packet foods and help the elderly carry their packets of food while we walk them back to their home. However, due to the short period of rain in the morning, several students delivered the food to their doorsteps rather than just waiting for the elderly to come to retrieve their food share in the CC.

For me, my friend and I happened to walk this amiable elderly back to her home while I helped carry the packets of food for her. She is really a very cute, easy-going and educated woman who is rather active in taking parts in activities/talks which are mainly organised by the CC. Well, how old do u think she is? Give it a guess?......

She has just turned 80 this year! Unlike other elderly, she prefer to speak to us in English instead of dialect. Isn't she impressive!!! She is able to speak English very fluently and clearly even though she told us that she did not manage to finish her education at her young age. She also shared with us some of her stories back in her old days.

In addition, as we were quite early, the year 2 and year 1 students played a game known as the molecule bonding game. All of us really had so much fun in this ice-breaking game!

In brief, the service project for today was indeed a fruitful experience for everyone!

Ending this post with two pictures of the super chio Wilson Lim ;)
