Hi everybody! I hope your Chinese New Year was well spent with your loved ones eating good food and collecting angbaos! As promised, we're back with another post about a CIP conducted just before CNY with the kids from LCSS. 

For this CIP, we decided to teach the kids to make some simple CNY decorations such as angbao fishes, fire crackers, and lanterns to expose them to some Chinese culture as many of them are not Chinese.

We were delighted to have our ex president, Christine join us for this CIP session with the kids!

 On to our next activity, making the paper firecrackers!

 After the Arts and Crafts session was done, we told the children some stories about what we'd do during CNY, and also interacted with them and got to know them better. This session was certainly meaningful and we hope it allowed the kids to have fun and also get to know a new culture better!

Hello everyone!
On 19 Dec, some of us went over to Life Community Service Society to bring them to the Science Center to learn about the environment during the school holidays.


We started off by introducing ourselves to get to know each other's names and then we played some mini ice breaker games such as blow wind blow.




Then we started to split up into groups of 5. We also gave the kids an activity sheet to fill in some answers that were related to the things that they would be seeing at the science center.




















After that, we had our lunch and headed onto the bus, and we arrived at the science center and went to the environment session.


We had a lot of fun exploring the center, and learning more about the environment while interacting with the children.


Time flew and a few hours later, it was time for us to head back.
